Harbinger Group Wins HR.com Learning Tech Product Award for AURA — AI Upskilling and Readiness Accelerator

News Provided by Harbinger Group Posted on July 7, 2026

Redmond, WA — Harbinger Group, a global technology company that builds products and solutions to transform the way people work and learn, has been named the winner of the HR.com Learning Tech Product Award for AURA — AI Upskilling and Readiness Accelerator Program. The award recognizes AURA for its role in driving enterprise-wide employee development and measurable business impact through a structured, role-based AI learning strategy.

Rather than a conventional training program, AURA was designed as a strategic initiative to drive an enterprise-wide shift toward AI-first thinking, equipping employees to use AI as a collaborative partner in problem-solving, decision-making, and delivery execution. The program is built on three foundational pillars: enterprise-wide capability building across more than 520 employees, governed and responsible AI adoption, and measurement-driven execution through an AI Effectiveness framework.

AURA was embedded directly into the employee lifecycle through mandatory goals in Harbinger’s performance management system, POLESTAR, role-specific learning paths on Udemy and LinkedIn Learning, scenario-based exercises, AI hackathons, peer learning forums, and leadership workshops — including the ISACA Certified Artificial Intelligence Officer (CAIO) program completed by senior leaders. The initiative achieved 95% workforce coverage in foundational AI learning and was validated internally with a Quarterly Team Award, as well as by customers citing measurable improvements in delivery speed, quality, and AI-enabled capability.

“We are honoured to receive this recognition from HR.com. This award recognizes Harbinger’s innovative approach to transforming learning into a strategic business capability, where AI learning, governance, and engineering practices come together to deliver measurable business outcomes. It reinforces our commitment to continuously innovating how our people learn, adapt, and create lasting value for our customers” said Umesh Sodmise, Vice President, Harbinger Group.

AURA’s impact extended well beyond learning completion. Across three quarters, teams using AI-assisted practices saw a 35% reduction in cycle time, a 25% improvement in development velocity, and code coverage improve from 73% to 90%, alongside a 40% reduction in code review comments and measurable reductions in technical debt and code duplication. By the third quarter, AI-assisted delivery contributed to 73% of Technology Services revenue and 46% of Content Services revenue. An internal culture survey found that 80% of employees, and 93% of Directors and above, agreed that Harbinger is encouraging an AI-first mindset.

The HR.com Learning Tech Product Award recognizes learning technology products that help organizations deliver effective employee development and training. The award was officially announced and spotlighted during HR.com’s Future of Learning Technology and Upskilling event on July 7, 2026.
