In this era of digitization, the Learning & Development market is also being disrupted with innovations and technologies to enhance and simplify the educational & training activities. L&D functions across schools, universities and organizations now lay emphasis on providing a more personalized and impactful training to the individuals to get the best results out of the learning processes.

“Event-driven adaptive learning” is one great initiative in this direction. It is a uniquely innovative approach to address the issues of retention, student success, and cost, particularly in remedial training/education where this innovation promises to be most helpful.

Recently, Harbinger Systems conducted a speaker session on “Extending LRSs and the xAPI for Event-driven Blended and Adaptive Learning” at the FocusOn Learning Conference, being held on June 8-10, 2016. The session threw light on achieving rich blended learning experiences with the help of adaptive workflows and leveraging mobile as a primary delivery mechanism. Other prominent concepts like tracking usage statistics and learning effectiveness with xAPI were enumerated in the session. FocusOn Learning Conference was a great platform for professionals and entrepreneurs to witness the disrupting technologies like mobile, video and performance support. Around 1,200 attendees from all around the globe joined the conference. Exhibitors were the vendors offering leading learning technologies, services, and products utilizing mobile, video, and performance support. It gave an opportunity for people to see these technologies in practice, and what new products the vendors are introducing in these sectors to shape up the future. It was overall an amazing experience, to be present at the FocusOn Learning conference this year and we look forward to participate in the next year as well.
